The New Church of St Augustine in Best Lane Canterbury - the empty shell of the former Chapel, turned shop, turned ACC Church! Father Mead inspects the work needed - with a deadline of only 1 week before the first Mass! 'All hands on deck' - members of the congregation responded to Father Meads appeal for help and soon The New Church of St Augustine in Best Lane Canterbury began to be transformed.

Sunday 15th April 2007, Bishop Rommie Starks begins the service of blessing and dedication of the Church of St Augustine of Canterbury. Bishop Starks sprinkles the front of the Church with Holy Water At the end of the Dedication Mass everyone faces the Shrine of Our Lady to sing the Regina Caeli
The Diocesan Standard Admission of Server Visitors from India
24th October 2007. Mr Roy Hipkiss and his daughter Jemima present to St Augustines Church an ACC Standard to be placed in a corner of the sanctuary. The flag is to be blessed and dedicated on the Feast of Christ the King. Server Admitted: Before Mass on Advent Sunday 2007, The Very Revd Damien Mead, Parish Priest of St Augustine's Church, Canterbury, Kent, admitted Mr Roy Hipkiss as Altar Server. Roy has been a member of the ACC since 1998 and a founding member of St Augustine's. As a Senior Practitioner Social Worker, he also serves as the Diocesan Child Protection Officer Indian Visitors: Sunday 16th December 2007. The Most Revd John Augustine of Lucknow, India and three Companions from ACC's Second Province of India, Mr Sujith Kumar, Mr Shoral Bobby and Mr Dipankar Sarkar, with Father Damien Mead.
